Deck the halls

She's TWO!

I'm a teeny bit late...buuuuuut our little princess turned two years old yesterday!!!

(and technically "yesterday" was only 2 hours ago, so I'm not as late as I could be!)  How did this happen so quickly?  My baby isn't a baby anymore.  This girl is full of spunk, smarts, opinions, excitement, and sass! 

Some of Elin's very favorite things to do right now are :  play Ninja Turtles with her brother, eat string cheese, make her mom and dad laugh, push her babies in a stroller or shopping cart, explore her big sisters bedroom, take baths, count ANYTHING, color, watch Dora or Team Umizoomi and "RUN"!...which she wants to do any time I hold her hand in a parking lot or shopping center.   I can't even put into words the amount of happiness this little lady brings me and her daddy. 

Elin loves to hang out with me while I'm getting ready for work.  Requesting I put lotion on her hands, or blow dry her hair a little bit, or even add a little bit of blush to her cheeks.  All things that make me happier and happier every day to be this girls mama.  She'll say "Elin's TURN!"  Which means, whatever I just did...she wants to do too! It totally melts my heart.

She is insanely independent, but LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to snuggle and love on her parents and siblings.  She's gentle, and smart, and outrageously adorable.  If it isn't obvious already, I'm a kind of proud of our little lady.  :)

She'll probably never fully understand joy she brings to our family. Her big sis Tayler is very smitten with her as well.  Doing her hair, choosing her clothes for the day, and teaching her the ins and outs of doll hair styling.  :)  Tayler even used her own money to purchase Elin her very first Barbie doll for her birthday this year.  It was very important to her to be the person who gave her the first one.  It's somehing that absolutely made my heart swell with pride. 

Elin Bryce, you are very loved!  I'm so very proud that I get to be your Mama.

Fours

We've had a lot of FOURS in our family this month!  First, Carson turned 4 on August 11th.  What a crazy feeling.  My baby.  FOUR!  He had a Thomas the train themed party, and though he wouldn't barely use the bounce house we ordered....everyone else had a great time with it.

THEN, on August 28th our sweet Tayler entered the 4th grade!  And, as you can see from these pictures, she entered IN STYLE!  She likes her teacher, and loves that some of her best friends are in her class.

And, here's Elin.  Just becuase she's so purdy!

Hiatus

So, it's been brought to my attention that I've been scarce here in the blogging world....so I'm going to make an effort to do better. Here's some pics in the meantime!
