Vico's B-day Party

A bunch of my girlfriends and I got our kids together to celebrate my friend Juanita's son Victor's birthday. Vico doesn't actually turn 3 until Sunday, but we decided to have a little get together today. Our kids having been hanging out ever since they were born...many within months of each other! A lot of fun was had by all. We had lunch, and yummy cake pops that Mary had made for us. Holy cow were they a hit.

We had every intention of getting a group shot...but it just didn't happen! Too many toys to play with, and friends to visit. Everyone had a great time! Happy Birthday, Vico! We love you!

We're half way to 1

I love her little shirt (from Walmart of all places!). It's says "This is my little black dress" and it has a pearl necklace on it. TOO CUTE!

Elin was 6 months old yesterday! She has been rolling, rolling, and rolling some more! She is so sweet when she gets all excited, laughing at her big sister or brother. She's still a very good baby, although she has been a little upset more lately due to a few things trying to force their way through her gums....but, who wouldn't be crabby with that happening? She LOVES to stand up on mom or dad's lap and pretend that she's a big girl, standing all by herself. You can see the pride on her face when she does this. I'm really looking forward to her 6 month check up. I'm thinking she's pretty long for her age. All of her 6 month onsies (which she's been wearing for a few months!) seem to be a little bit short on her. In fact, the one she has on in her 6 month pics is size 12 months. She is a big girl!!!!

She's tried solids a couple of times, but doesn't LOVE them yet. But she will watch you eat like a starving animal, and lick her lips like crazy....so, we'll keep trying them. Again, like I say every month, we feel so blessed to have this sweet girl in our lives. She brings every one such happiness.

CINCO

She's five months old, and can I just say, she gets cuter by the minute! She is seriously the happiest, best behaved baby ever! We went to dinner tonight with some friends, and thru 80% of the night, in a NOISY atmosphere, she slept. The other 20? Happy as a clam! Smiling and looking around! She's such a little sweetie pie! I can't believe I get to be her mom!! I'm so lucky!

Big brother when he was 5 months old. They look so much alike! I get that comment all of the time. And that she looks like my sister did when she was a baby, AND that she looks like Tayler. It will be really interesting to see what she looks like as she gets older. She'll be beautiful, I'm sure. :)

In other news. My mom had surgery on Wednesday on her right knee. Both of her knees need to be operated on, but they're only able to do one at a time. The surgery went off without a hitch, but the recovery has been a little uncomfortable. I'm praying she starts feeling better soon. She'll have to have the other knee operated on in ab out 6 months or so, and I think she'd dread it less if this recovery wasn't too awful. In the mean time, we're visiting her, and trying to take her mind off of her pain.

The royal wedding was today, and because I'm working night shift right now, we were able to watch it last night at work. It was really neat to watch history be made. I made the comment last night about how when something big like this wedding happens, you usually can remember where you were when it happened. And, for a lot of things that have happened, I've been at work!!!!!!! I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing!

Too COOL

Last night we met some friends at Chuck E. Cheese for dinner and games. I thought it'd be nice and quiet there since it was a Wednesday night....but, I'd forgotten one small detail...it's Spring Break. So, it was pretty packed. But, despite all of the people there, it was still a lot of fun. And, the kids came away with some really cool new shades.

FOUR

She's four months old!! And she is a big girl!!!1 98th percentile for length and 59th percentile for weight. She was 14lbs today, and I'm trying to remember her length, but I want to say it was 26 inches. Long and lean, just like her Daddy, and her big brother! Every day with Elin is more incredible than the last. I feel so lucky to be her Mama!

Seeing Carson at four months, and noting how drenched his shirt was, I'm remembering what a little drool monster he was at this age!!! Elin is starting to get a little drooly, but nothing like her brother was! At least not yet!!
