Two years ago today, my life changed forever. I came face to face with the greatest thing I've ever created. My son. Up until that glorious day, I never worried too terribly much about what people thought of me. But that day, I met a little guy that I could I never want imagine disappointing. Someone who I couldn't ever imagine letting down. And these past two years have been a roller coaster of emotion. Love, guilt, elation, fear, excitement, worry, and wonder. Never had something before changed my life so completely. And, there may never again be something that does it again. He is truly a joy to mother. Although opinionated, and occasionally mischievous, he constantly amazes and impresses me. I am one lucky mamma.
Tonight we celebrated Carson's birth with a little family dinner at Red Robin...and as you can see in the above photo...he was LESS THAN impressed when they sang him Happy Birthday. But, other than that, he had a great time!
In other news.....we had our 19 week check with the new baby today. Everything looks fantastic, and the doctor is "pretty sure" the baby is a girl....but he said he isn't positive. So, that was a little disappointing as I am VERY ready to start getting ready for this baby...but it looks like we're going to wait to start getting things together for when we get a FOR SURE sex identification!
