Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is the birthday of one of the most important people in the world to me. My mom. The love and support I get from my mom is what makes me who I am today. She is generous almost to a fault. She is the most unselfish person I know. She is kind. She is funny. She is beautiful. She is caring and kind. She is so many things I admire. It is my sincere wish that someday my children feel about me, the way I feel about her. I love her more than words can say and am forever greatful that she is my mom.

I like this

When you marry him, love him

After you marry him, study him

If he is sad, cheer him

When he is talkative, listen to him

When he is quarrelsome, ignore him

If he is jealous, cure him

If he cares nought for society, coax him

If he favors society, accompany him

When he deserves it, KISS him

Let him think how well you under stand him

But never let him know how you manage him

I found this whilst I was blog-snooping. I can't remember what blog I was on though.....so I can't give credit to anyone. But, I will say that I didn't come up with this on my own. But, I do like it.

Dog Sitting

My sister works part time at a winery. Today, all of the employees are being taken to the orchard where the grapes that they serve by the glass are grown. It's sort of a field trip of sorts. They were told that lunch will be served, and that it would probably be an all day afair. So, my sister asked me if I could watch her dogs while she was there. Normally her roommate would watch them for her, but her roommate also works at the winery and has to go on the adventure too. So, this brings the grand total of dogs in our house to FOUR! It's been...um,...fun....to say the least. These dogs have a lot of energy when they're separate...and when they get together...whoa nelly! It's a regular circus!

Olive the sweet

Lulubell (sweet but naughty!)

All the kiddies having a ball!

I know, I know. I can't post without adding some pics of my kiddos!

I wonder how long they're going to get along like this? =)

Good Day

The beautiful, blushing, bride to be, Jessica
Today was a good day. Tayler, Carson and I went to my cousin Jessica's bridal shower this afternoon. She's getting married on the 18th of this month, and today was her bridal celebration. There was good food, fun games, and lots and lots of family. Tayler got to spend time with her cousins, Maddy and Addy (no they aren't twins...in fact, they aren't even sisters) and I got to see my cousins who I don't see nearly enough even though we live in the same area.

Afterward, since my grandparents were in town for the festivites, the kids and I went over to my mom's house to visit with them before they headed home. Papa Doug is pretty happy about the newest great grandbaby in the family. He thinks he's a keeper! And Carson was pretty happy with his Papa as well. Uma, on the other hand (my grandparents' weiner dog) was really getting on Carson's nerves by constantly trying to steal Papa Doug's attention by crawling up on his shoulders and trying to get to Carson. That dog loves her mama and dad and really doesn't like to share them with anyone. Such a baby.

Brian (much to his dismay...wink, wink) missesd all of the fun becuase he had to stay home and study. But, with the house finally quiet for a few hours, he got quite a bit done.

It's been a good day.

This is Tayler showing off the new boots that Grandma Shanna bought her last night. She's pretty proud of them and would probably wear them to bed if we'd let her!

Carson had a good time snugglin' with his Aunt Ashlee the other night.....he even decided to grace us with a little grin!

Good Cause

I know so many people have heard about the Decker family and the recent trials they've been enduring. But, if you haven't, take a look at their blog. It's unbelievable.

And, if after reading that you feel so inclined to do so, there is a "Support Carol" button on my side bar where you can participate in a silent auction for this woman and her family. I can not imagine going through what this family has and is going through. It has really made me count my blessings and have thanks for all that I have.

Sniff, Sniff

One month from today, I (reluctantly) am returning to work. I'm not sure how I am going to do it. I'm trying to remember that I only work about 14 days a month, but I'm still sad about having to leave my baby boy for even those days! I work 12 hour shifts, so I'll be away from him for a long time! I'm hoping that we'll be able to have him baby sat by my mom, Brian's mom, and my sister. We have a couple of friends as well who have offered to help us out in a pinch. It's just so nerve wracking! Someday, someday, I hope to be a stay at home mom. But, right now, we need my income. Hmmm...I think I'm going to go buy a lotto ticket.

Fall is upon us

Ahhhh, autumn.....my favorite season, hands down. I don't know what it is, but something about the air getting crisp, the leaves changing colors, pumpkins getting ready to be picked, and pulling my sweaters out of their summer hiding place, just puts me in a good mood. Especially this year. Each year we go to a place in Pasco called The Country Mercantile to visit their pumpkin patch and store. It's a wonderful place that encompasses all the great things that fall has to offer. And this year...we get to take baby C with us! Yea!!!Earlier today my hubby hunted down my autumn decor and brought it in from the garage for me. I guess I'd forgot how scarce my collection is! Pretty sad for a gal who LOVES this time of year. But, I got a few things put out to help get us in the spirit!

Carson begged me to let him wear this outfit today becuase he loves autumn too and thought this jumper had great fall colors in it. =)
